Skills

I am a visual artist, museum director/curator and outdoor educator with a diverse background and many current interests… My studies have included U.S. & world history, mythology, literature, art history, poetry, American Indian studies, studio art, graphic design, and outdoor education. I truly enjoy research, which I consistently delve into in my work.

My creative pursuits have recently focused on woodblock printing and drawing… I also love writing, decoupage, painting, photography, creating environmental sculpture, textile arts, sculpting in clay, and exhibit design… I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every media I’ve ever tried. Lately I have become very involved in my community through Mountain Lake PBS, The National Park Service Heritage Area, Rotary International and Adirondack Coast Cultural Alliance.

My primary focus currently is to create a series of woodblock prints from my drawings and photographs. The portfolio is focusing on our National Parks. I have been an art teacher for youth groups, adults and private citizens for many years. I enjoy teaching drawing, crafts, and especially woodblock printing to children and adults.
